The first thing to realize is that I try to rate eateries only in their own category. The Russian Place, a 20'x20' bakery near Pikes Place, and the Herb Farm are both A⁺ in their category. In a few rare cases there has been something in service that made the experience so bad that I would not return, and these are usually noted. A ? means that I don't remember enough to do a rating, or reserve judgment; a U means that we haven't eaten there.

The second rating is for value, in most cases is ?, and is purely subjective.
